1時間目
1時間目は音楽の授業。音楽の授業とはいっても歌を歌ったりするわけではなく、オーストラリアでとても有名な曲である「I am Australian」という曲を聴き、その歌詞の意味を考える。という授業でした。
この曲はオーストラリアの歴史を学ぶことができる曲です。オーストラリアは元々アボリジニが生活していた土地ですが、様々な人種が世界各国から移住してきました。しかし、どんな背景を持っていても、その全てがオーストラリア人であるという曲です。以下に歌詞を載せますので、ぜひ一読してみてください。

2・3時間目
2・3時間目はそれぞれがバディーの授業を受けました。
4時間目
4時間目はアボリジニの伝統的な芸術に触れました。アボリジニのアートには、カンガルーの足跡を意味するマークや、虹を意味するマークなど様々な意味が込められています。
それらのマークをブーメランに描き、物語を作り英語で説明するという授業を行いました。
生徒一人ひとりのアイデアで物語を考え、ブーメランを完成させました。
オーストラリアの現在の生活を送るだけでなく、伝統的な文化に触れることができるのもこのプロジェクトの醍醐味です。
アボリジニについて学ぶことで、民族についての見方・考え方も変わってきたことだと思います。
